Entry and Exit Points

Nepal is land locked country so there are only two countries, India and china through which you can enter Nepal. And all of the land transit points lie in India and Nepal Border except one transit point that is shared with Tibetan autonomous region of China

· Kodari Immigration Office (Northern Tibetan border)
· Kakarvitta Immigration Office (Eastern Nepal bordering with India)
· Birganj Immigration Office (Central Nepal bordering with India)
· Bhairahawa Immigration Office (Western Nepal bordering with India)
· Nepalgunj Immigration Office (Far western Nepal with India)
· Dhangadhi Immigration Office (Far western Nepal with India)
· Mahendranagar Immigration Office (Far western Nepal bordering with India)

The above are transit points are via land. Deviation from this point entry and exit is against the Immigration rules and treated as violation of Nepalese immigration rules. Besides that there is an International Airport, Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, an immigration point through which most of the foreign visitors enter and exit Nepal.
